Exchange at Penn Correspondents Ayaka Tamura

Ayaka Tamura is a rising junior studying liberal arts, concentrating on Japanese Society and Global Culture at Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan. She studies Creative Writing and English at Penn, genuinely enjoying and feeling herself grow as a writer through the amazing creative writing workshops. Ayaka believes fiction to not only be entertaining but also be educational of the unknown world, and loves to write stories about her culture. At Penn, she is a member of the Penn Band and enjoys playing at games. As for Spring 2024, she also takes part in One Act’s winter production as an actor and set crew. She is very excited to document memorable moments and wonderful experiences of her last semester at Penn as an EAP Correspondent!
