Brinn Gammer is a junior in the College studying Criminology with minors in Neuroscience and Health Care Services Management, as well as Hispanic Studies. In the Spring 2023 semester, she will be traveling to Santiago, Chile and attending classes at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Universidad Diego Portales, and Universidad de Chile prospectively. For years, Brinn has been highly passionate in learning about the many diverse cultures of Latin America and the Spanish language: she cannot wait to be fully immersed! On campus at Penn, she is an SNF Paideia Fellow, a founding and board member of the Coalition for Wellness, on Penn Mock Trial’s A Team, and a board member of Society for Psychedelic Science @ Penn, as well as a member of other neuroscience and policy clubs. She is also a research assistant at the Quattrone Center for the Fair Administration of Justice and the Department of Medical Ethics. In her free time, Brinn loves spending time with her friends and adorable dog, Blossom.
In Chile, Brinn can’t wait to...
- Visit the most arid desert in the world—San Pedro de Atacama—and Patagonia
- Connect with her host family and learn about Chilean food and music
- Engage in a cultural research or volunteer opportunity
- Above all, take all of her classes in Spanish and achieve total Spanish fluency!
