PGS: Sacred Stuff: Religious Bodies, Places, and Objects

Daniela Medina is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Health and Societies with a minor in Chemistry on the pre-med track. At the end of the Spring 2024 semester, she will be traveling to London, UK as a part of the Penn Global Seminar program for the class Sacred Stuff: Religious Bodies, Places, and Objects . She is excited to explore the culture, food, and musical scene within London with her classmates.

Dani is currently a researcher for the NIH, working on the epigenetic of chronic kidney disease, as well as a child life volunteer at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Furthermore, she is the president of UPenn’s Volunteer’s Around the World Medical Chapter, leading medical outreach trips in locations such as Panama, Peru, the Dominican Republic, and more. Lastly, Dani is a peer mentor for Penn First Plus, mentoring first-generation freshman and transfer students within Penn. In Dani’s free time, she enjoys cooking pasta, lounging with her cat, and reading. She is very excited for a semester of academic and personal growth, exploring London with her classmates, and exploring the world of religion within the UK.
