Originally from Oakland, California, Evelyn Bond (she/her) is studying Political Science and Hispanic Studies in the College. She is thrilled to travel to Seville, Spain through CASA-Seville during the first semester of her senior year in the Fall of 2021. On campus, she is a member of Penn Undergraduate Law Journal (PULJ), the International Affairs Association (IAA), the Political Science Undergraduate Advisory Board, Penn's chapter of Amnesty International, the Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society, and Alpha Phi Sorority, in addition to being a mentor at Andrew Hamilton School in West Philadelphia through Penn's Community School Student Partnerships (CSSP). In her free time, she enjoys photography, reading, hanging out with her 2 cats and 2 dogs, watching Netflix, and exploring Philadelphia with friends. In Seville, she is excited to expand her Spanish language abilities and learn more about international government and policy-making. 

She is additionally looking forward to:

  • Learning via complete language immersion in a totally new environment

  • (Hopefully) gaining a better Spanish accent

  • Being able to travel to other parts of the country on weekends

  • Making new friends and trying new foods
