Florence Onyiuke is a junior in the Huntsman Program studying International Relations & Business with a minor in Spanish and concentrations in Multinational Management and Finance (Wharton). This spring, she will be studying at Universidad de Barcelona through the CASA Barcelona program. On campus, she plays an active role in various organizations, serving as the Vice Director for Black Wharton Consulting, the DEI Committee Chair for The Dean’s Advisory Board, and a 2023 and 2024 Perry Word House Student Fellow. In her free time, she enjoys watching documentaries, exploring nature, and going to the gym.

This spring semester, she is looking forward to:

  • Picking up some Catalan through daily interactions and the CASA Proseminar
  • Exploring Spanish food culture including arrós negre, fideuá, and cargol
  • Working on local human rights and conflict resolution projects through the CASA Barcelona NGO Internship program
  • Experiencing Semana Santa and La Febrile de Abril
  • Enjoying weekends at hidden Spanish gems like Calella de Palafrugell in Costa Brava
