Joanna Lin is a junior in the Huntsman dual-degree program studying international studies with a French target language and real estate in Wharton. In the upcoming spring semester, she will be studying abroad at Sciences Po in Paris, France. Joanna is from Fargo, North Dakota, and on campus is heavily involved in the Wharton Undergraduate Real Estate Club as the Head of Treks, where she organizes travel to tour iconic real estate in cities around the US and the world, and is active in the Penn Social Entrepreneurship Movement. While abroad, she is incredibly excited to deepen her understanding of French history, culture, and language and to connect with French and exchange students from around the world. In her free time, she enjoys hiking/pilates, art history, and architecture, and is learning her fifth language.
While abroad, she is especially looking forward to…
-
Discovering Paris through her food bucket list
-
Taking long walks on the Seine
-
Visiting friends studying abroad in other cities like London, Milan, and Barcelona
-
Seeing the many museums in Paris and Claude Monet’s home in Giverny
-
Traveling through the French Riviera
-
Experiencing the Venice 2023 Architecture Biennale
-
Overall, living a truly cinematic semester!
