John Burgess is a senior in CAS studying International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies, with a minor in Economics. This summer, John will be working at Swicorp Infra Capital (SIC) in Tunis, Tunisia. SIC is an asset management firm that finances sustainable infrastructure projects. John is from Cape Cod, Massachusetts and is excited to be living abroad, where he can practice his French and Arabic. On campus, he is the Vice President of the International Affairs Association, a member of Penn's Model UN team, a tour guide, and a barista at Williams Cafe. You can find him exploring neighborhoods in Philly or running on the Schuylkill River trail. John is super excited about his next few months in Tunisia, learning about the region, renewable energy systems, and impact finance!
