My Experience Abroad:
At Penn, my Economics courses usually focus on theories that apply to developed countries, with a particularly strong focus on the United States. Studying abroad provided ample opportunities to take courses to supplement this knowledge by analyzing Economics from a global perspective. This allowed me to break out of the US-focused theory and become a more well-rounded economist. I was also able to take a course unlike anything offered at Penn: Management of Fashion Companies. Experiencing Milan through one of its most important and recognizable industries truly enhanced my abroad experience.
Other Highlights:
-
Traveling to 21 cities in 12 countries on 2 different continents.
-
Seeing friends from Penn studying in different cities.
-
Visiting Dublin, Ireland for St. Patrick's Day.
-
Celebrating my birthday in Prague, Czechia.
