Katherine Wang is a Junior in the M&T program studying Computer Science and Marketing. This upcoming semester, she’ll be studying abroad at the Chinese University of Hong Kong! Katherine is originally from the Bay Area, California; on campus, she’s involved with Hack4Impact, a club that builds web platforms for nonprofit organizations, and is also a TA for CIS 1210. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, running, doing yoga, snacking on frozen mangoes, and cooking with friends! She’s highly passionate about food, and is so excited to immerse herself in the rich culture and the incredible food scene that Hong Kong has to offer, as well as meet both local and international students!
While abroad, she’s especially looking forward to:
- Feasting on so much cheap, delicious Asian food :)
- Going on long runs to explore the beautiful nature and the vibrant city life that Hong Kong has to offer
- Learning more about Asian culture/history and partaking in Asian festivals/traditions
- Traveling all across China & Southeast Asia
- Picking up new hobbies & learning new things!
