Ask me about...

  • Being abroad for the first time!

My Experience Abroad:

I'm currently pursuing concentrations in Finance, Management and Business Economics and Public Policy; one of my interests that relates to my coursework at Penn is entrepreneurship. I hope to use what I've learned at Penn to create my own company/organization one day. My time abroad related to my coursework and pursuits in that I worked at a company founded by a team of Penn alumni--I was able to observe a company in a rapid stage of growth, as well as learn about how it evolved from being a 3 person startup to a company with hundreds of employees.

Other Highlights:

  • Making new friends from work and from getting to know locals

  • Getting to know the company better (was also given a return offer and a part-time job during the school year)

  • Learning about the culture of Hong Kong and the surrounding parts of Asia (I also went to Singapore and Vietnam for weekend trips)

  • Learning about different fields of work in Hong Kong--our company brought guest speakers who taught us about their careers in Asia
