  • Didactic content at Hadassah School of Nursing: Public Health Overview, Family Assessment, Home Health Care, Community Intervention Planning, Chronic Illness, Israel’s Health Care System, Health Inequalities & Vulnerable Populations, Epidemiology, Technology & Health, Disaster/ Emergency Management, Health Promotion, and Community Health: Nursing Roles & Practice

  • Clinical hours at each of Israel's four national HMOs

  • A community project with Israeli senior BSN students at Hadassah

Other Highlights:

  • Variety of clinical experiences: Community Clinics, High-Risk Obstetrics/Women’s Health Clinic, Wound Care Clinic, Diabetes Clinic, and Home Visits

  • Course-work field trips: Tipat Chalav (mother-infant well clinic), MOMA Telehealth Hospital, IDF Medical Base, Yad Sarah (volunteer organization), Ministry of Health and Elwyn Israel (residential village for individuals with cognitive disabilities) 

  • Non-school related trips: from short get-aways to Europe to travel all over Israel from Caesarea down to Eilat

  • Relationships with faculty: Israeli culture is extremely warm and welcoming, thee faculty members were quick to invite us to their homes and welcome us into their families and the personal and professional relationships I made in Israel are unparalleled

  • Elective course on religion
