Social Impact in Buenos Aires

Naija Agarwal is a sophomore in the College, studying Political Science. During this summer, she will be participating in the Social Impact in Buenos Aires GRIP placement, interning with Lunfarda Travel to develop an Indigenous Peoples tour in Buenos Aires. Originally from Secaucus, New Jersey, Naija is excited to travel abroad to Latin America for the first time and to explore new cultures. At Penn, Naija writes for the Daily Pennsylvanian, serves as a project manager for Consult for America, participates in Wharton Women, and sings with the Glee Club. In her free time, Naija loves to visit new places and listen to music. Naija is excited to serve as a GRIP Correspondent this year and share her experience in Argentina with others!

During the summer, Naija looking forward to:

  • Exploring the 48 neighborhoods of Buenos Aires
  • Flying to Patagonia
  • Improving her Spanish skills 
  • Immersing herself in Argentinian culture and customs 
  • Learning about the history and future of human rights in Argentina 
  • Meeting people from different corners of the world
