Vicky Vo is a sophomore studying Nursing and Healthcare Management. At the end of the spring semester, she will be traveling to Beijing, China through the course “PGS: Exploring the Business Environment in China, Wharton International Program”. Being from Texas and never being out of the country, she is excited to travel abroad and learn about a different culture. Currently, she is the Vice President of Student Nurses at Penn, VP of Finance for Nursing Students for Global Health and Vietnamese Student Association, a mentor for PennFirstPlus, an assistant at the Kelly Writers House, a member of the Women’s Club Lacrosse team, and a Marketing Board Member for Penn Alternative Breaks through the Civic House. She is incredibly excited to explore Beijing, have an enriching time with her classmates, and travel out of the country for the first time.
During this trip, she is particularly looking forward to…

- Exploring the rich cultural landscape of China through its historic sites, culinary delights, and vibrant daily life. Developing a deeper understanding of global healthcare perspectives by interacting with local professionals and communities.
- Navigating the complexities of a new environment, learning to adapt and find her favorite local spots.
- Participating in community service opportunities, allowing her to contribute positively while gaining a unique perspective on the societal impacts of business and healthcare
