My Experience Abroad:

Penn has offered me an unparalleled learning and cultural experience, drastically propelling me towards reaching my academic and career goals. Penn's diversity is simply impressive. People from different parts of the world and all walks of life come here, which is a great stimulus for cross-cultural and intellectual exchange. I am inspired by the conversations I had with students, professors, and staff here. Each of them tells a unique story of themselves and a unique perspective. Simply staying in an environment surrounded by excellent people has motivated me to work harder towards my goals. Penn students are very ambitious, goal-oriented, and of course, intelligent. I am heavily influenced by them, by how determined they are towards their ambitions. Classes here are compelling as well. The open and free academic discussion in class is conducive to breaking one's stereotypes or fixed perspectives. It has been a conducive learning atmosphere for me to think outside the box and has stimulated my creativity. After a semester at Penn, I can proudly say that I am more ready and confident than ever to achieve what I want to achieve.

Other Highlights:

  • Taking OIDD 2910 Negotiations at Wharton, the best class I've ever had

  • Joining the Wharton Undergraduate Healthcare Club's Consulting Committee and worked on a case for Edwards Lifesciences

  • Winning the first-ever AIS World Cup

  • Represented Penn as an exchange student in the Mid-Atlantic Korean Speech Contest and got into the finals

  • Meeting a lot of interesting people here, including both full-time and exchange students
