Passport to Penn Global
10:00 AM - 3:00 PM, By Appointment
ARCHWay

Friday, September 14 | 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM, By Appointment | The ARCHWay (on the ground floor of the Arch building)

The first step to globalizing your Penn experience is to obtain a passport! Penn Global has partnered with Penn First Plus, the Division of the Vice Provost for University Life, and the Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies program to provide funded passports and to assist students through the passport application process. During this event, students will receive a fully funded passport, less a $10 registration fee, that covers the cost of the passport application, photos, and processing fees for up to 80 eligible students. The United States Postal Service (USPS) will be present at the event to take passport photos and accept passport applications by appointment.

Who is eligible?

The goal of Passport to Penn Global  is to remove some of the barriers that may prevent students from obtaining a passport, including cost and confusion. In order to be eligible for a funded passport during this event, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen;

  • Must be 18 years or older;

  • Must be a current, degree-seeking, first-, second-, or third-year undergraduate student at Penn (eg. no seniors or graduate students);

  • Must be a first-time passport applicant (no renewals permitted);

  • Must be financial aid eligible;

  • Must have an interest in pursuing global opportunities at Penn

Students who identify as first-generation college students, low income, and/or traditionally underrepresented in study abroad are strongly encouraged to sign up for this event.

Identification requirements:

  • The student’s original birth certificate with both parents’ name listed (unless one says unknown) OR the student’s naturalization certificate

  • The student’s driver’s license OR nondriver’s ID

  • The student's Penn ID

Registration deadline: Tuesday, September 11th at 12:00 Noon. The first 80 eligible students to register will receive this funding opportunity.
