Summer Abroad

Summer can be an excellent time to study abroad, do an internship, conduct research, or gain another type of global experience.

Penn offers a wide variety of programs for students across majors and class years. All Penn students are encouraged to pursue global opportunities during the summer term.

Students who choose to self source a summer opportunity instead of participating in a Penn-affiliated program should remain up to date with Penn’s Travel Guidelines and Procedures to ensure they remain in compliance with Penn travel criteria, in particular for students seeking credit away for summer opportunities or who are receiving Penn funding in support of their summer global program.
