PGS: Writing Health and Healing in Botswana

Sean Woo is a freshman student majoring in Biology on the pre-medicine track. Over spring break, he will be traveling to Cape Town, South Africa, and Gaborone, Botswana, focusing on healthcare practices in various hospitals and university settings. Currently, he is an active member of InTranscription on the research and consulting committee, WITG Healthcare committee, and doing drug resistivity research in melanoma cells. In his free time, he likes to DJ and talk about random topics with his friends.

During his upcoming trip, he is particularly looking forward to…

  • Meeting healthcare workers of different backgrounds
  • Seeing giraffes in the wild
  • Discussing medicine with traditional healers
  • Trying bunny chow and other new foods
