PGS: Paris Under the German Occupation and Its Places in [Non-] Memory

Thomas Sharrock is a second-year student in the College of Arts & Sciences, studying International Relations and Francophone, Italian & German Studies. Thomas lives in a small city called Winchester in the south of the United Kingdom and enjoys going home to see his family during the breaks. On campus, Thomas works as a Peer Educator for Financial Wellness @ Penn, where he has worked since freshman fall, and is involved with the Penn German Society, Penn Symphony Orchestra, Penn Polish Club, Assembly of International Students and The Pennsylvania Post. He also helps direct the elementary school choir at Henry C. Lea Elementary.

Though already studying abroad, Thomas is hoping to complete a semester abroad in Berlin next year at the Freie Universität. He is particularly excited to see the Berlin Philharmonic play, amongst other famous musical groups in Berlin. Outside of schoolwork, Thomas loves Taylor Swift, exploring the city, and planning bucket-list trips. Of all the places he has visited, he most enjoyed Russia (even though it was when he was 8) because it was his first international trip on an airplane!
