COIL Exchange: Comparative Health Systems – Nursing and Midwifery Response to Global Health Crises
My COIL Experience:
As a current MSN student at the University of British Columbia in Canada, this global course allowed me to connect with colleagues from all over the world, allowing for a very unique learning experience. As someone who strives to be a nursing leader, I enjoyed hearing from leaders in the topic global climate health across the world.
The COIL exchange was offered via zoom with different healthcare leaders and innovators speaking weekly on the topic of climate change and planetary health. Throughout the exchange, I had many opportunities to connect with nursing and midwifery colleagues from different countries, gaining different global perspectives and networks.
