USCIS Implements Fee Increases – Effective 4/1/2024

January 31, 2024: A USCIS Final Rule was published implementing fee increases for certain immigration and naturalization benefits.

The increase in the following filing fees will most impact the Penn community:

International Students

F-1 Optional Practical Training (OPT and STEM OPT)
Form I-765:

• Online filing will increase from $410 to $470
• Paper filing will increase from $410 to $520

International Scholars

Form I- 129 for E3/TN: Fee will increase from $460 to $510

Form I- 129 for O1: Fee will increase from $460 to $530

Form I- 129 for H1B: No change

Form I- 539 for dependents:

• Online filing fee will increase from $370 to $420
• Paper filing fee will increase from $370 to $470

Form I-140 for Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker: Fee will increase from $700 to $715
