Today’s international crises are creating protracted displacement that is forcing international and domestic institutions to acknowledge the long-term needs of refugees, asylum seekers, and internally displaced persons. But are global actors prepared to deal with new humanitarian realities? With the highest level of displacement since World War II and over 60 percent of refugees living in urban areas, are international actors adapting to changing needs? Join Anne Richard, former Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees, and Migration and Irit Katz, PWH Postdoctoral Fellow, for an important conversation about one of the most pressing global topics today--displacement. The World Today series is a weekly, expert-led conversation on pressing global challenges. Join us every Tuesday from 4:30-5:30PM in the Global Policy Lab (unless otherwise noted) at Perry World House.
