Visiting Scholar Tobias Bunde

Tobias Bunde is director of research and policy at the Munich Security Conference and a member of the Munich Security Conference Foundation’s executive board. He is also a postdoctoral researcher at the Hertie School’s Centre for International Security. Bunde has studied international relations at institutions in Germany, France, and the United States, and his research has been supported by, among others, the German National Academic Foundation, the German Academic Exchange Service, and the Stanton Foundation. His work on German foreign and security policy, security cooperation among liberal democracies, and the international order has appeared in both academic and policy-oriented outlets. Bunde holds a PhD in political science from Freie Universität Berlin.
