Laura Edwards is an LL.M. candidate at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a recipient of the Thouron Award, a graduate exchange program between the United Kingdom and the University of Pennsylvania. Edwards previously worked as an independent legal consultant in Myanmar, where she consulted with organizations including the U.K. Department for International Development, the Asia Foundation, and the United Nations. She was also the first foreign legal consultant to be embedded within the Myanmar National Reconciliation and Peace Center. Edwards received a first class degree in law from the University of Cambridge and was a Lord Denning Scholar of the Honorable Society of Lincoln's Inn.
