Santiago Cunial is a Ph.D. candidate in political science at the University of Pennsylvania. He researches political drivers towards energy transitions in developing countries, with a focus on Latin America. His research aims to explain how policy legacies, partisanship, and electoral cycles affect the adoption and effectiveness of decarbonization policies. Cunial holds a M.A. in political science from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and a B.A. in political science from Universidad de Buenos Aires.
