Shubhankar Patankar is a PhD candidate in bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also completed a master's degree in robotics. His research focuses on the study of complex networked systems, such as the human brain, and synthetic knowledge graphs that act as stores of information. Before coming to Penn for graduate work, Patankar obtained a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in Russian from the University of California, Davis.
