Svilena Bochukova is a Graduate Associate at Perry World House and a joint degree student at Penn, pursuing an M.B.A./M.A. in International Studies at Wharton and the Lauder Institute. Her studies focus on developing a deeper understanding of the global order, with an emphasis on how entrepreneurship and foreign policy can be leveraged to fuel economic growth in developing nations. She has also authored a World Bank report on private sector participation in sanitation and wastewater management in Kenya. Bochukova graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College with a Bachelor’s degree in Government and Statistics. Before coming to Penn, she worked in management consulting at Bain & Company. Bochukova is originally from Bulgaria and spent this past summer at Credo Ventures, a VC firm investing in tech companies from Central and Eastern Europe.
