Vivek Nimgaonkar is a student at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently completing a research fellowship with the Penn Center for Precision Medicine, where he is working on a COVID-19 focused research project. Before medical school, Nimgaonkar graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Vagelos Life Science and Management Dual Degree Program, studying biology in the College of Arts and Sciences and concentrating in business economics and public policy and health care management at the Wharton School. Nimgaonkar plans to complete an internal medicine residency program before specializing in hematology/oncology or infectious disease.
