Derek Chollet

Derek Chollet served in senior positions during the Obama administration at the White House, State Department, and Pentagon. His book, The Middle Way: How Three Presidents Shaped America’s Role in the World, was published in 2021 by Oxford University Press. Before returning to government service as Counselor of the US State Department, he was executive vice president and senior advisor for security and defense policy at The German Marshall Fund of the United States.
