Huan Yang is an International Student and Scholar Advisor. She graduated from UPenn Graduate School of Education with two master degrees majoring in TESOL and Education Entrepreneurship. With 10 years of international education experience including teaching, management, and advising, Huan brings to ISSS a unique combination of talent and experience with international constituents. Huan has previously worked as an ESL Adjunct Professor at La Salle University and as the Director of the Philadelphia Language Center. Huan is also the Founder and President of PCES (Penn China Education Summit/ Penn Education Summit) from 2017 to 2019, a Penn student organization which aims to promote education in a global setting.

Huan is an active member of the international education community. She is currently NAFSA China MIG Vice Chair, and she has presented at NAFSA regional conference with a topic “ From Zero to Hero: Preparing International Students for Success in a U.S. University”. Huan's goals are to contribute to ISSS and Penn by providing support and guidance to international students and scholars and also continuing to promote global engagement.
