Welcome to ISSS!
Please see our the ISSS advising page for more information and to make an appointment using iPenn. Based on our students' feedback, we are glad to continue to offer virtual advising which makes it possible for you to meet with your advisor from anywhere in the world and without needing to make a trip to our office.
If you prefer to speak with an ISSS staff in person, you can always drop in ISSS office during our business hours.
With limited exceptions, all document and reporting services will continue to be offered electronically. iPenn offers Penn students, scholars, and staff a convenient way to submit document requests and other information electronically, including, but not limited to:
- I-20/DS-2019 travel signature requests;
- New student arrival reporting and check-in;
- Document shipping requests.
Most signature requests can be completed in iPenn; either we will issue you your signed document electronically (e.g., I-20s) or it will be shipped to you (e.g., DS-2019s).
Business administrators and other department contacts: Please contact ISSS or reach out directly to a member of our staff.
If you prefer to speak with an ISSS staff in person, you can always drop in ISSS office during our business hours.
You may contact your assigned ISSS advisor for time-sensitive immigration-related issues. You may also submit a general inquiry to ISSS. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please contact Penn's Division of Public Safety by calling 215-573-3333 or 511 from campus phone.
